Why Have a Contest?
Welcome to our 1st Immersion Summer Surf Video Edit Contest! Our goal is to promote your teams' crafts, as surfers, videographers, and editors, in conjunction with the release of our First Album and Surf Video! Jon and Shawn are both surfers and couldn't think of a better way to kick off their first Album release party than to share their music with their surf community in an effort to bring the music and surfing together!

Important Dates:
**May 15th - Start Signing up: Opening day to begin signing up for the contest. This will be the first day to sign up for the contest on our website.
**June 3rd - First Day You Can Submit Your Edit: 1st day to officially submit your video to be uploaded on Immersion Summer.com + Immersion Summer Instagram.
One of the categories to win is "Most Viewed." Surfers who submit on day one, technically will have more time to get more views of their video edit.
**Sept. 23nd - On Saturday, Sept 23 at 3pm, the "Most Viewed" Category will end, and all views will be tallied.
**FALL.:Exact Date TBD - ALBUM RELEASE PARTY AND WINNERS ANNOUNCED LIVE at Central Coast Surfboards, in downtown San Luis Obispo.
a. Winners will be announced LIVE! In a suspenseful manner, drumroll and all, one by one, the winning videos will be played on the BIG SCREEN at the band's ALBUM RELEASE PARTY IN FALL. Date will be announced as soon as confirmed. Check back often for updates.

Choose an Immersion Summer Song
This is an Immersion Summer Video Edit Contest. You will use one of our songs to promote you. Choose a song from our "Music/Listen" tab.
Video Clips
Try your best to edit with High Definition video clips...it' will help your campaign to win your category. Phone video can work great too, if you need. Try changing your phone settings and shooting 4k 60 if possible for the highest quality, if you shoot with your phone.
Divisions : Trophies, Swag, Bragging Rights, and Features on our Social for Winners!
1. Shortboard: co-ed. Shortboard only. All ages. Shortboard only.
2. Groms: co-ed. Ride anything. 17 and under.
3. Girls: ride anything. Girls only. All ages.
4. Longboard: co-ed. All ages. Longboard only.
5. Stylemaster: co-ed. All ages. This is the ride anything and/or everything other than just a shortboard or longboard video edit section: ride a fish, mid-length, longboard, finless, shortboard, body board, any other rad surf craft, and/or a combination of all of them together!
6. Most Viewed Video: Every video qualifies for this section. This is an incentive to post your video sooner than later and encourage your friends, family, and followers to watch your video on the Immersion Summer website and on Immersion Summer Instagram more than anyone else's videos!

2. Video Edit Length: Your edit must last for at least 1 minute to enter. Winning videos will be announced LIVE at the Album Release Party in Fall.

1. SEND US YOUR FULL RESOLUTION VIDEO: WE WILL UPLOAD IT DIRECTLY TO OUR WEBSITE AND INSTAGRAM.

1. Once we have your video, we will add your video to our instagram and website...after we get off work :) We're teachers.
2. Next add your video to your instagram, and TAG 50 PEOPLE and ask them to go follow @immersionsummer @ccsurf
3. Finally...PROMOTE, PROMOTE, PROMOTE your friends, family, and followers to go watch and vote for your video on our website and instagram!

PRIZES:
The prizes will be modest but rad for the first contest. We will have swag, hand-made, super sick, surf-inspired trophies for winners, and of course, the winners of each division will have their videos featured as "Winners" on our website for everyone to see your radical edit!!
You will also hold the prize of bragging rights from our first ever Surf Video Edit Contest!
